Locating the University of New Mexico

The University of New Mexico's Albuquerque campus is located in the southeastern quadrant of the I-25/ I-40 intersection (the two intersecting blue lines on Albuquerque's GIS map). Specifically, the main campus is east of University Blvd.; south of Lomas Blvd; west of Girard Blvd; and north of Central Ave.

Locating the conference on UNM's main campus:

The conference will take place in the Student Union Building; building 60 (H - 5) on the UNM campus map.

Sightseeing in New Mexico: Conference attendees may want to take the opportunity to explore the Land of Enchantment's many cultural offerings and natural wonders while here in New Mexico. Around Albuquerque's downtown area, such attractions as Old Town, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and the new National Hispanic Cultural Center are within a short taxi ride.

Located in the Sandia Mountains, Albuquerque's eastern border, a tram can be taken to the top of Sandia Peak http://www.sandiapeak.com/ for a spectacular view of Albuquerque in the west and miles beyond towards Acoma Pueblo as well as to the north towards Santa Fe, to the east towards Santa Rosa, and to the south towards the Manzano Mountain range.

Santa Fe (1 hour north), Taos (2-1/2 hours north), and a number of the Indian Pueblos, Acoma Pueblo (1 hour west are within easy driving distance).
